Ahh! You just accepted your first babysitting request...Now what??? Don't panic, we are going to give you all of our tips and tricks so you can survive your first time!

Step 1: Make a Plan
Before you go make sure you and your parents are comfortable with the idea!If you don't know the family well feel free to get info about them before hand (ex. address, ages of kids, medical information etc.).
Step 2: Be Prepared
Have you gone through CPR or babysitting classes yet? If not I highly recommend it! Before you go pack a bag with things you might need (snacks, first aid, change of clothes)Step 3: Be fun!
You have arrived and met the kids now what? Get comfortable! They feel just as nervous as you do so, ask about their lives and tell them some things about you. Once everyone is comfortable the fun will start!Tips!
- Bring some extra clothing just in case... kids love to play outside and you need to be prepared
- Pack a First-aid kit! you might need a band aid and chances are you don't know where the family you are sitting for keeps there's!
- If the kids are young - bring some books, coloring pages, or SAFE toys!
- Don't be a pushover - chances are they will say "But my mommy lets me!" don't give in you are there to keep them safe and be a disciplinary.
